Bridal dress with a plastic boned bodice covered in rich lace with Guipere lace surounding the neckline and little satijnroses.
The sleeves are made of a fine layes of tulle and lace and have fabricoverd buttons for decoration.
You can wear this dress on or off shoulder.
The skirt is made out of faux silk with a tulle underskirt to give it that poofy look.
Also the skirt is trimmed with scalloped white lace.
The zipper is missing its tag, but i'm going to look for this and hopefully can send it with the dress,otherwise you can easily find it yourself in a sewingshop.
I paid 170 euros for this dress secondhand, i believe the newprice was around 1000 euros.

This black dress is a cocktail dress i picked up at a vintage shop.
It has a pettiecoat and layers os satin an lace.
The strapes are made out of pleated chiffon.

The Costumes look amazing, i would love to see this movie!
Except..Keira Knightly in a costume movie?
She wasn't that great as a an 18th Cenutry lady in Pirates ,i refused to see Pride&Prejudice (i love the BBC series!) but i can't see she's really one for historcal costumes.
She even looks a bit slouchy in her costumes, as if she wasn't wearing her stays or did not lace them properly.
We will see..

Pictures of Coat!

Viona asked me to make her a wintercoat, made from a Vogue pattern from Oscar de La Renta.
It was absolutly horrid!!!!!
The instuctions where very confusing,pointless,minimal and faulty!
Also with the adjustments she wanted,it made it a project from hell..
The lining is made from fleece (is a good translation? it's made from the same fabric, ski-jumpers are made from) and it was ofcourse very bulky.
She needed it to be warm, i adjusted the sleeves, the size,the innersleeves i drafted myself as wel as adjusted the bodice to be more snug and waisted.
But i must say, this coat kept me up at nights..as there were so many mistakes in the pattern as wel as sizing and instructions i was testing and trying more then actually sewing!
But it's finished and sent to her, hopefully she likes...please like it!!!!

I posted my story a year ago, and many other girls emaild me then with the same problem or worse..

pictures are behind the cut, these are no self flattering and my own pride is out the window now..

Mock up:

As you can see, the corset was too wide on top,cut too high beneath the armpist and was very weird in the waistarea..
Also hips were off.
I asked for a second mock up, she REFUSED and send me this one a week before christmas, without any comunication, months before.

The corset SHOULD look like this:

Instead she gave me a bad fitting, badly done, corset that looked like my gold one!

It's still too wide, it doesn't look as if there were any alterations..

My old corset orders from here are this:

This one is faded on the front panels, it was salmon pink and today it is again!
She dyed this fabric black for me, but as normally dye should fade to grey, she really used bad dye...

This one i even wear in my avatar and have had a shoot in with Viona Ielegems(www.viona-art.com).
The lace on the hips are letting loose, she should have sandwiched the lace between the corset and the binding, she did not and put it on too tightly.
Wich means i can't fix this without ugly stitches(how small even) and the lace is also tearing!
Both corsets are only worn for occasional wear, no tightlacing, and lay in a box lined with satin, on a pillow, away from damp,sunlight and when worn even sweat with a corsetliner.
I have these corset 2 years now, together worn only 10 times.

A place to come together
Myself and a few others have ordered corsets from L Escarpolette and have had a lot of problems.
A few of you may remember months ago, I wrote to this community explaining that she would not respond to me, so here is my story.
I ordered an overbust corset and paid in full $450 on Feb. 13, 2007. I recieved both of my mockups and thing went well for the first few months. Then Joyce would stop responding to my emails. She would sign on to Myspace and her Etsy shop everyday, but would not respond to my emails. Someone from this community wrote to her for me, and Joyce responded to that lady within hours, yet still NEVER responded to me. After the lady wrote Joyce, I wrote 1 week later and told her I would file a paypal dispute if she didn't respond to me. She finally responded with an arrogant email. This email was received after 3 months of attempting to write her more than once a week. I've tried adding her as a friend of Myspace and Livejournal, so I can also write her there, but she won't add me. I've written to her also from her website. I finally asked for my money back, since all the events I wanted to wear the corset to has past and I no longer wear the same size. She is back to not responding to any of my emails. Basically I feel like I am out of $450 and since I know I am not alone in this (I know of multiple other people going through the exact same thing) I wanted to warn others of what is going on.
If anyone wants to come forward and talk about an experience they are going through or can in any way help those of us, please come forward.

I've been to my moms this weekend, it was great!
We went to amsterdam and i ofcourse wanted to go to Diabolo,i haven't been there for 2 years now.
Well it was a little disapointing..same old Gothic crap..nothing except the London Catwalk Collection, was intresting.
And even that was same old,same old..
But i did get some Faux Dior bananaheel shoes in black patent and some Faux Chanel leather mary janes with the famouws Chanel heel with metal strip.
The latter ones are for WGT, there comphy and look nice enough under my costumes.
I still need to figure out wich costumes i'm going to make!!

I'm still busy with an Oscar de La Renta coat for Viona, i couldn't get it finished before Venice.
The coat is damn hard to make, she wanted it lined with fleece and she had alot of alterations for it.
Also the instructions were incomplete,confusing and often strange and unworkeble.
That and my visits to doctor and hospitals for my back and the constant pain, wich my doc told me, only morfine could help..
I haven't been as quick as i usually would be!

I made a pirate blouse for a collague of Mark who is carnavelling right now.
He wanted to look like Jack sparrow and only needed the blouse.
I'm expecting pic's any day now.

We went to Gala Nocturna, last saturday,it was amazing!!

It really brought out the spirit, Viona, was talking about.
The people did their best with their outfits, and alot of them looked great.
Abd the chapel itself was also amazing!!!
I arrived there early, because i was bringing a model for Leyla's Lolita show and was lucky to see the rehearsals, since i have been dressing and undressing models for the rest of the evening, including Viona ,haha.
Alot of the BDM crowd were there as well, even the lovely Agnes.

Altough one couldn't see any shows, if one was further away form the marble podium then 5 people, it was still a very entertaining evening, wich brought back feelings of utmost joy to be surounded by so many creative souls and have so much beauty suround me.
On to the next Gala Nocturna, in wich i hope La Rose Couture will play a part...;)!
